Which hotels do we offer

We deliberately choose hotels that are not directly adjacent to a golf course, and there are good reasons for that. First, it is price-wise, and second, you have the freedom to explore. If you stay on a golf course, you miss local restaurants, the beach and the cosy town of Balchik. In short, you miss the chance to experience the real Bulgaria and delectable Bulgarian cuisine. Currently, we offer two options. If you do prefer a different hotel, that’s no problem. We are happy to discuss the options with you to make the perfect choice.

Helios Hotel

Balchik

Hotel "Helios" is located on the seafront next to Balchik's central beach.

The hotel features two outdoor pools - for children and adults, an outdoor playground, a bar and an (outdoor) restaurant with live music.

We offer a formula with breakfast. For lunch and dinner you can visit the hotel's restaurant or one of the many, and very affordable, restaurants on Balchik's pleasant promenade.

We offer following room types (1,2 or 3 persons), studio (3 persons) and flat (4 - 5 persons).

Selena Hotel in Balchik is centrally located opposite the marina and only 500 metres from Balchik Palace. The hotel offers rooms with LCD TV, fridge and balcony. Some rooms also feature a fully equipped kitchenette.


Guests can enjoy both Bulgarian and international dishes at the restaurant overlooking the water. Free Wi-Fi is available.

A very diverse holiday country

For many, Bulgaria is still a relatively unknown destination, but the country has very much to offer. Besides beautiful beaches on the Black Sea, Bulgaria has a unique and very varied, green interior and a rich culture.

The sun is always out here, too. Even in winter, you have lots of (cold) sunny days.

The ideal time to plan a golf trip to Bulgaria is somewhere between early May and late October.

Balchik

Dobrich region (Bulgaria)

Balchik or Balchik is located in north-eastern Bulgaria on the Black Sea, 33 kilometres east of Dobrich (Dobritsh) and 40 kilometres north of Varna.

Built around an elongated white rock, Balchik is nicknamed the "White City". Now it is a small port town with a beautiful location.

In Balchik, you will find remnants of 21 centuries of history and traces of many cultures. Balchik has a longer history than many of the places on the Black Sea coast, which often came into existence only in the second half of the 20th century.

Best-known sights are the botanical garden and Balchik Palace.

Who are we

Rob & Daniela De Groof - Atanasova

Hello, we are Daniela and Rob. We are privileged to live both in Varna, Bulgaria, and Aarschot, Belgium. In Bulgaria, our home club is Lighthouse Golf, and in Belgium we are affiliated to GC Witbos.

Daniela grew up locally and speaks Bulgarian, English, Dutch, French and Russian. Rob is not only involved in organising golf trips, but also offers mental coaching to golfers, including the use of hypnotherapy.

We are ready to make your trip to Bulgaria unforgettable, using our local knowledge as our strongest asset.
